• Fill out this form with your information and the code from your certificate.
• I will contact you to discuss lesson scheduling.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where are lessons held?

• Lessons are at my home studio, near downtown Cedar Rapids.

Do I need to be able to read music?

• No.  When you fill out the form above, I will learn a little about your music background (if any) and will choose an appropriate lesson book for you.  I have a lesson book specifically for students who have never learned to read music.

How will I get the rental harp?

• If you live in or near Cedar Rapids, I will deliver the harp personally to your home and pick it up from you at the end of the month.
• If your home is a significant distance from Cedar Rapids, I will provide instructions on how you can transport the harp home with you at your first lesson.  My rental harps fit in almost any vehicle.

Will I need to provide a security deposit?

• No, there will be no security deposit required for the rental harp.
• I will ask you to sign a document that shows instructions for keeping the harp safe, dates of the rental term, and a commitment to return the harp at the end of the rental term.

​Is a gift certificate transferrable?

• Yes, you may pass the certificate on to someone else if you wish.  The code found on your certificate may only be redeemed once.

Does the gift certificate need to be used right away?

• No -- but your rental harp is only reserved for one specific calendar month (typically the calendar month  immediately following the date you received your gift.)  For example, if you received your gift on Christmas, your rental harp is reserved for the month of January.  If you received your gift on Valentine's Day, your rental harp is reserved for you for the month of March.  
• If you would prefer to redeem the certificate at a later time, that's fine!  Submit the form above or email me when you are ready to redeem the certificate.  I will let you know if a rental harp is available at that point.  If not, you will go on a waiting list.
• You are always welcome to reach out at any time to discuss questions about scheduling and the timing of gift redemption.  It's quite possible that I will have flexibility.

I lost the gift certificate!  Is there a way to redeem it without the code?

• Yes!  I keep a record of all gift certificates purchased.  When filling out the form to redeem your certificate, enter the name of the person who gave you the gift in place of the code.

Do gift certificates expire?

• No, gift certificates have no expiration date.

Can I continue harp lessons with you after the month is over?

• Yes, there will be the opportunity (but no pressure) to continue lessons.
• If you decide to continue lessons, standard lesson and rental policies will apply.
