Frequently Asked Questions - Weddings
Will you attend our wedding rehearsal?
Do we need to time our processionals? How will we know how fast to walk?
Do we need to know how long our wedding ceremony will be when we book you?
We would like a friend to sing at our wedding. Can you accompany a singer?
We are looking for a harp and flute duo. Do you ever play with a flutist?
- Typically I do not attend the rehearsal for a wedding ceremony. After booking, I will ask you to fill out a form with details about your ceremony, along with your music selections. I will then send you a plan for the music (including cues to make transitions flow smoothly). You can give this plan to your officiant and take it with you to the rehearsal if desired.
Do we need to time our processionals? How will we know how fast to walk?
- You don't need to worry about the timing of the processional music -- that's my job! Each of the processionals in my repertoire are pieces that I can shorten or extend as needed.
Do we need to know how long our wedding ceremony will be when we book you?
- No. I charge a flat rate for a wedding ceremony, including music before, during, and after the ceremony, no matter how long the ceremony itself lasts.
We would like a friend to sing at our wedding. Can you accompany a singer?
- Yes, I usually can provide accompaniment for a singer.
- Let me know what song is planned and provide contact information for the singer. I will coordinate directly with the singer about what arrangement we will use and how we will meet to rehearse.
We are looking for a harp and flute duo. Do you ever play with a flutist?
- Yes! I have an extensive repertoire for harp and flute and work with several local flutists, depending on availability.
- Contact me about your event, and let me know you are interested in a harp/flute duo. I will confirm availability and pricing for both myself and a flutist.
